Learn the basics of battery technology in our introductory module for beginners and advanced learners.
We are looking toward a future that will be significantly shaped by battery technology: E-mobility is just as inconceivable without batteries as the future of energy supply, which is crucially dependent on stationary storage systems. Lithium-ion technology is also used in many other areas of life. Knowledge of battery technology is therefore not only necessary in technical professions, but also in other industries – from insurance to waste management – where it is an enormous advantage.
Enter the fascinating world of cell voltage, energy density, and battery components such as anodes, cathodes, and electrolytes. This course offers you an insight into how batteries work, from their components to their state of charge. Expand your understanding of one of the key technologies of our time and prepare yourself for an exciting journey into the world of battery technology. Book your place now and lay the foundation for your knowledge in this forward-looking field.

An introduction to the fundamentals of battery technology, from cell components to state of charge. Suitable for beginners, and a useful refresher for those with a technical background.

Virtual power plants, or VPPs, are an emerging technology with the potential to facilitate the shift from centralised to decentralised energy, provide additional income for battery system owners, and support network stability and system balancing. This online three-part sprint course is aimed at anyone interested in joining a virtual power plant, or anyone keen to learn more about how the technology works.
Upon completion of the course, participants will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of VPPs, the value proposition for participants, how to compare offerings from different VPP operators, and the challenges facing the VPP industry going forward.
The course consists of three videos totalling 15 minutes, with a short quiz after each video. There are no prerequisites for this course.
